Say goodbye to on-street EV charging headaches.

About Us

Path Charge was created to solve a simple but growing problem: how do residents without a driveway safely charge an electric vehicle at home?

As EV adoption increases across Australia, many households are being left behind because they rely on on-street parking. In many cases, residents are forced to run charging cables across footpaths or resort to unsafe workarounds that create trip hazards, accessibility issues, and compliance concerns.

We believe there is a better way.

Where are we working?

Path Charge is currently working through trials with councils in Victoria with New South Wales and Queensland on the horizon.

What is Path Charge?

Path Charge is a simple infrastructure solution that allows EV charging cables to safely pass beneath the footpath through a low-profile underground channel installed flush with the pavement surface. The result is a cleaner, safer and more practical approach to on-street EV charging.

Our focus is on delivering solutions that are:

  • Safe for pedestrians and residents

  • Simple and fast to install

  • Affordable and scalable for councils and communities

  • Designed to integrate seamlessly into existing streetscapes

We are working with councils, installers and communities to help remove one of the biggest barriers to EV ownership for urban households without off-street parking.

Path Charge exists to make EV charging more accessible, practical and realistic for everyday Australians.

Why is it better?

Unlike expensive kerbside charging infrastructure or pop-up charging systems, Path Charge is:

  • Simple

  • Low-cost

  • Quick to install

  • Minimal in visual impact

  • Scalable across existing residential streets

It requires no public charging hardware, no complex electrical infrastructure within the footpath, and no major streetscape changes.

Just a practical, safe and affordable way to enable home EV charging for residents who park on the street.
